This weekend, the Santa Cruz Masonic Temple opens its doors for an intriguing evening event, ‘Mystery at the Temple,’ scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM. This unique 90-minute theatrical tour invites participants to follow clues, analyze documents, and make decisions as they explore the historic site.
With a limited capacity of 40 people per session, tickets can be obtained at the venue starting at 7:00 PM. Organized by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council through its Autonomous Cultural Organization, this event offers a fresh take on traditional heritage tours.
Participants will engage in a narrative that intertwines fictional elements with the historical and sociocultural background of the building. Led by historian and communicator Néstor Verona, alongside Antonio Conejo, Eduardo Feria, and Sigrid Ojel, the experience transforms attendees into active participants rather than passive observers.
This initiative aims to make Santa Cruz’s historical heritage more accessible to those who might not typically attend conventional tours. The event is part of Tenerife’s cultural agenda for September 18 and 19, with plans for future sessions on upcoming weekends.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez emphasizes the importance of such initiatives in connecting the community with local heritage, while Santiago Díaz Mejías, the Councilor for Culture and Historical Heritage, highlights the active role of the audience in this immersive experience.
