It is quite easily the busiest bar in Los Cristianos and must be in the top 5 for Tenerife South. All this refreshingly with no entertainment or cabaret acts of any kind (and none of the expense.)
The bar consists of two commercial premises which are on rolling leases of 4,200€ per month.
The interior of each is 80m2 giving a total of 160m2 and each has an exterior terrace of 36m2 giving 72m2 in total.
The entire premises was refurbished in 2011.
The profits for the bar are 500,000€ per year. There are 16 staff. The bar is open 6 days per week. They close one day a week and all staff take that day off – this is because they can and they make more than enough in just the 6 days.
Revising the staffing arrangements to open 7 days per week is an immediate increase in profit of up to 13% minus any additional staffing costs but would represent an additional 1,600€ per week (7,000€ per month potentially) in profit before additional staffing costs are considered.
The business closes for two weeks per year and all staff are taken on all all expenses holiday, usually a Caribbean cruise or similar – important to know as they may well expect this to continue!
They have steady business throughout the day and are busiest from 7pm until 1am with Saturday and Sunday being their busiest days, Monday being their slowest. Friday and Saturday night, patrons are literally spilling out onto the street.
As well as new tourists and regular tourists, they are also very popular with residents here – the expat community. 90% of the clientele in the Bar are British and Irish.
