Altering the start times at the University of La Laguna has led to a noticeable decrease in traffic on the TF-5 highway. This initiative, supported by the local government and the university, has removed an average of 500 vehicles daily from the road and shortened travel times by up to 18% during peak hours.
Since September, the staggered schedule has expanded to include over 2,000 students from the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism, further alleviating congestion. The initiative is part of a broader agreement to enhance university mobility, including increased public transport options and shared travel initiatives.
