Half a Million Euros Allocated for the Imperial Rome Carnival Launch
Santa Cruz's public enterprise has initiated preparations for the upcoming Carnival themed around Imperial Rome, with significant budget allocations for artistic direction and set design.
The public enterprise Fiestas de Santa Cruz has commenced preparations for the next Carnival, themed ‘Imperial Rome’. This includes hiring Enrique Camacho as the artistic director and Juan Sebastián Domínguez for set design at the fairgrounds.
Under the leadership of councilor Javier Caraballero, a budget modification of 474,300 euros is expected to be approved. This budget covers the artistic director and set designer fees, the presentation of the promotional poster, sponsorship for the Gastro Navidad Market Fest, and participation costs in the Notting Hill Carnival.
Enrique Camacho will receive an initial payment of 147,125 euros for directing the Carnival galas, while Juan Sebastián Domínguez will be paid 126,795 euros for his set design work.
The presentation of the promotional poster, scheduled for November, will cost 43,380 euros and feature artistic performances. Five finalists are in the running for the poster design, with a public vote to follow.
Juan Sebastián Domínguez, known for his work on the Nebulossa proposal for Eurovision 2024, will lead the artistic design under the theme ‘Eternal Rome: The Empire of Carnival’.
Enrique Camacho’s contract includes a 25% payment upon delivery of the final gala scripts, amounting to 147,125 euros.
