Santa Cruz to Digitize Loading Zones with New Smart Platform
Santa Cruz de Tenerife will receive €1.6 million from the Ministry of Innovation to fund a smart platform for urban goods distribution.
The new system will digitize loading and unloading processes, enhancing logistics management for city supplies and public space usage. This initiative aims to boost the local economy, as announced by Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez during the ITS Technical Conference.
Mayor Bermúdez emphasized the city’s commitment to modernizing mobility through cutting-edge technology. Mobility Councilor Evelyn Alonso highlighted the city’s investment of nearly €30 million in cleaner, more modern buses.
