Binter Boosts Fleet with 456 Million Euro Aircraft Purchase
Binter has finalized a financing deal with leading Spanish banks, including Santander, CaixaBank, and BBVA, to acquire nine Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This 456 million euro investment will gradually introduce the new planes starting in 2027, aiming to improve air connectivity for the Canary Islands both locally and internationally.
Rodolfo Núñez, Binter’s president, highlighted that these new aircraft align with the airline’s strategy to provide superior service and maintain its competitive advantage. The Embraer E195-E2s, known for their industry-leading efficiency and lower emissions, offer a comfortable 132-seat layout, enhancing passenger experience.
Upon completion of this acquisition, Binter’s fleet will consist of 25 Embraer E195-E2s, ensuring a robust and reliable flight schedule. This expansion is poised to solidify the Canary Islands’ role as a strategic air hub, particularly in routes to Africa, while optimizing inter-island travel during peak periods.
Looking ahead, the introduction of these aircraft is expected to bolster tourism and economic growth in the region. Buyers and investors focusing on the Canary Islands should anticipate increased demand in areas benefiting from enhanced connectivity, with potential for tighter property markets in popular tourist spots.
